Mr. Harold Jacobsohn Speaks with Senior Class
On Wednesday March 8th, we welcomed to our school Mr. Harold Jacobsohn, an active member of our Jewish Community and long-time member of the Board of Trustees at Donna Klein Jewish Academy, and the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City.
Mr. Jacobsohn shared his life story with the Senior class of 2017 and his reasons for being involved in Jewish community leadership roles. He spoke about his own choices to dedicate his efforts to supporting Jewish education, helping and inspiring the leaders of the future.
Ari Holzhauer, one of the seniors expressed his gratitude: “On behalf of the class I wanted to thank you so much for coming. For years many of us have reaped the benefits of your work. We have been able to attend this school, providing us with the tools to grow. Not just as a person, but as a Jewish person.
With the work you have done, you have helped to grow and nurture the next leaders of the Jewish communities throughout the world. There is no way to truly thank you for this, so we will do what you told us to do. Grow as Jewish leaders, help to bring success and opportunities to Jewish organizations and communities, and be there to help train the next generation. Following in your great footsteps, hopefully able to fill them.”
Todah Rabbah, Mr. Jacobsohn, for being such an admirable leader and teaching by example.
